Welcome to the Texas A&M University-Central Texas Digital Archives! Dedicated to preserving the history of our institution and the surrounding communities, the mission of the archives is to identify, acquire, manage, and preserve records of enduring value and make them available for public use.
Some of the main areas of materials represented in the archives include:
- Documents and materials relating to the history of the development of A&M-Central Texas.
- The General Robert M. Shoemaker Papers - a collection of the general's personal papers and mementos.
- The archives also includes materials relating to the history of Central Texas, its people, and its communities.
Also included in the Digital Archives are materials from the Central Texas Historical Archive, managed by the College of Arts and Sciences and the History program of A&M-Central Texas. Dedicated to preserving the political, foreign policy, and military history of the Cold War Era at home and abroad, the extensive collections are of both regional and national interest.
